Get To Know Me!

Let me tell you a little about me. When I was 36, I was bleeding vaginally every day. I went to numerous doctors, had multiple tests and ultrasounds for them to tell me they couldn’t find anything wrong with me. This went on for 2 years. The bleeding was getting heavier and I changed doctors and continued to have more tests. Then one night I collapsed. I was rushed to the ER. My hemoglobin (red blood count) was a 5 and a normal hemoglobin is 13. I had less than half the amount of blood in my body that I needed to survive.
After an overnight in the hospital with every test and scan done on me, the doctor came in the next morning and told me I had Stage 3B Cervical Cancer. What? I couldn’t believe what I was hearing. How could this happen?

This was the turning point in my life.

I ate healthy and exercised, but I didn’t realize at that point that there is so much more than just eating right and exercising. Once I learned what else I needed to do, I felt compelled to share this information. While I was laying on the radiation table, I thought that I needed to teach other women to listen to and take care of their bodies, to get informed and get healthy, so that they don’t end up with a catastrophic illness like I did.
It’s always important to take care of yourself, but even more so during Perimenopause and beyond. The body changes drastically and you are at higher risks for heart disease, different types of cancers, bone loss and more. The radiation put me into early menopause. Since I have already experienced this phase of my life, my mission is to help women calm the chaos in their bodies, so that they can embrace this phase of their life with joy and ease and feel like themselves again. I do this through my signature program, Balance Your Hormones in 90 Days.
I have been cancer free for almost 13 years and truly attribute my health to making these changes.
